Leo - The lion

I always liked lions and I’ve decided to adopt one of them. They were being mistreated and some protection laws have given me the chance to have one for me. I chose Leo, the thinnest and sickest lion I’ve ever seen. I felt so good doing that charity that I think he felt the same. I took care of him and soon he was very healthy again.

The first years with Leo were very difficult because he insisted in trying to eat me. But I loved him so much. I taught him where to pee and that it was very shameful trying to eat his friends. He had already reached his adult life.
Everything was so perfect until people started complaining to me. They didn’t like the idea of me walking with Leo in the park or throwing steaks instead of saucers. But Leo was so calm and obedient. He just ate a little child once. But that’s ok, because that child was very disturbing.

The government started sending me some letters asking me to send Leo back to Africa, where he belonged first. I couldn’t believe that. Who would watch TV with me? Play cards? Make massage? Go to the movies? Roll on the grass? Make snowmen?
I thought of running. Ride on Leo and let the wind gracefully blow our hair while galloping on the fields. But the fact is Leo preferred to run away alone. I woke up in a morning of July and he had already left me. He even didn’t leave a letter. I never heard of him again.

Nowadays I’m better. I’ve forgotten Leo and last week I adopted an ocelot. He’s very funny and he plays cards better than Leo. Of course, you can’t just replace someone you love, but you can find someone to make you happy and who puts you in danger all the time. In fact, they are safer than women.
